WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING WITH ME?
Big smiles, your camera, sun-tan lotion, toiletries and travel adaptors if you need to charge electrical items without a U.S. connector (mind most rooms have USB sockets so you can charge most portable items without needing an adaptor). All bed linens and towels for use inside the villa are provided and professionally washed, sanitised and pressed (please see our Laundry Room feature on the Our Villa page). Due to this service we do not have pool or beach towels available at the home but these can be picked up very cheap in the likes of Walmart/Target or the souvenir supermarkets so you may prefer to do this rather than use luggage allowance bringing them with you.
WHAT TIME CAN WE CHECK IN/WHAT TIME DO WE NEED TO CHECK OUT?
In order for the villa to be cleaned and prepared for guests arriving, you can check in from 4.00 pm and departure needs to be before 10.00 am. We will, wherever possible, try to accommodate later check outs as we know flights can be early/late evening
IS THERE ANY BABY EQUIPMENT IN THE VILLA?
We appreciate it can be a lot easier if there are essential baby items provided rather than having to bring lots of equipment with you. We have therefore provided 3 strollers, 2 cribs and a high chair.
IS THERE INTERNET AT THE VILLA?
Yes, the villa is fully equipped with high speed wireless internet. Full details of how to connect are included in the Welcome Book in the villa.
HOW DO WE FIND GOOFY'S GOLF GETAWAY?
We will send you directions along with detailed instructions for the villa a couple of weeks before your stay.
IS THERE SOMEONE LOCAL TO CONTACT FOR ANY ASSISTANCE?
Our villa is fully managed by a local Property Management Company. Contact details are provided in the villa. There is also a Welcome Book that explains how things work, amenities on Providence and local attractions
IS THE VILLA AND COMMUNITY SAFE?
Goofy's Golf Getaway is fully alarmed for your safety with a direct connection to the local sheriff's department, but in addition, Providence is also a gated community with a 24 hour manned gatehouse.
IS THERE A SAFE IN THE VILLA?
Yes there is and its large enough to store a laptop so plenty of room for everything to be stored safely
Pool heating can be provided if you request it and we do recommend it if you are travelling between October and March. There is an additional charge for this as the pool heater is powered by electricity, which unfortunately is not cheap in the U.S. You can select the pool heating option when obtaining a quote on the website. The pool heater operates on a timer and is set to come on in the morning and go off in the evening. There will be some cooling overnight when the air temperature drops, however we have a pool cover that should be used each evening to retain some heat. In the coldest winter months heating the pool can be a problem with the air temperature dropping down overnight. Florida has a temperate climate but it does sometimes get cold fronts that can bring overnight low temperatures in the 30's and 40's - these can last for several days. Unfortunately, under these circumstances, there is no way the pool heater will be able to keep the water at around 84 degrees, especially where the pool heat is provided via an electric pump if the outside air temperature drops below 55 degrees Fahrenheit. Electric pumps do not operate effectively below this temperature and in these instances failure to heat the pool to the desired temperature is outside of our control and this does not constitute a mechanical failure, but an act of nature and we are unable to offer refunds for problems that are due to cold weather.
