We are a family of three, Martin, Julie and Emily (well four if you count our GoldenDoodle, Jasper) originally from the North East of England but having lived in Hampshire since 2000. As well as all working full time, we like to try and exercise by walking our dog, cycling and circuit training. We all love music (with "similar" tastes) and attending concerts, sometimes even altogether! and enjoy watching films (Disney is still played a lot in our house!). Above all else though we love our family holidays. We have been fortunate enough to visit some fantastic places, both in the U.K., Europe, Asia and North America, but the place we have visited the most and fallen in love with, is obviously Florida. It has been a dream of ours for a number of years to own a place in Florida and in 2015 this eventually became a reality. Having spent a lot of time researching the various communities around the Disney area, scouring over many different properties and generally coming up with more questions than answers, we employed the help of a realtor to guide us. We took two weeks vacation in late August/early September which was more of a working holiday than a relaxing one. Our realtor was brilliant at helping us, asking questions, providing answers and giving sound advice. Although we completely changed our mind as to the community we wanted to be on and the type of property we wanted, we finally agreed a deal the day before we returned to the U.K. and we eventually got our dream home in the sun.
Is to create ourselves a second home that we can share with guests. The emphasis being on the "home" element. Having stayed in many cottages, villas and apartments over the years we know the sorts of things we look for (and by our own admission are quite fussy about) when renting somewhere to stay. Being keen holiday goers ourselves, we also appreciate people spend their hard earned money to enjoy their main family vacation and want their accommodation to be hassle free, comfortable and with all the amenities to make it a perfect stay. Whilst this is our first venture into running a rental villa, we would like to think we have a good idea of the sorts of things anyone wanting to rent will look for. However, we would welcome any feedback if we are missing anything or if you have ideas on what would really help the appeal for renting Goofy's Golf Getaway (we can't promise we can do everything but we will certainly try). We believe we have ticked a lot of boxes with our home, having an extended upstairs creating not only a large games/loft area but excellent sized bedrooms all round and with having 5 bathrooms it gives everyone the privacy and luxury of their own facilities. The oversized pool and pool deck create a great outdoors feature to relax in and a games room, comfortable furniture and TV's a plenty should keep everyone entertained. We want our villa to be a fun place to relax and somewhere kids will love, hence the Disney Park's themed bedrooms and games console, but we also want it to have a high end quality feel for adults so we have taken great care in choosing the furniture and decor in the other rooms. We hope you will agree we have got a nice mix and something that will appeal to everyone.
We genuinely want you to have a fantastic vacation and we see our home as being a great part of that. We like nothing more than receiving the wonderful comments and feedback like our previous guests have given. Apart from the 5 star reviews, guests have commented on how much more confident and relaxed they have felt when booking after they have either spoken with us or exchanged emails. We understand it can be quite daunting and worrying renting a vacation home (we have been there and done it ourselves as guests) so we want to reassure you as best as we can that you are dealing direct with the owner, not an agent and that we are genuine people. We aim to respond as fast as possible subject to time differences and work commitments but quite happy to offer advice or answer any questions about our home, the area or things such as flights, park tickets etc.
